Abstract:

This qualitative study examines the complementary value of micro-credentials and AI skills alongside traditional degrees in the Malaysian hiring process. Insights from nine senior industry leaders highlight a shift towards practical, job-specific competencies. Findings suggest that policymakers and educational institutions should better align curricula with industry needs to future-proof graduates.
