Abstract:
Based on the literature research, this article classifies Low Carbon Knowledge into system knowledge, action knowledge and effectiveness knowledge. Then by introducing two variables of “Behavior Intention” and “behavior competence”, we build a conceptual model about various effects of Low Carbon Knowledge on lowcarbonized energy consumption behavior.

We investigate the residents in 49 cities in China and get 4129 valid samples. We use LISREL 8.7 for parameter estimation, and modify the model by T test. The result shows that “system knowledge” and “action knowledge” mainly affects consumption behavior through Behavior Intention, and “effectiveness knowledge” mainly affects consumption behavior through behavior competence. Buying behavior is more influenced by Behavior Intention, and using behavior is more influenced by behavior competence. Therefore, the result of this paper improves the pertinence and effectiveness of spreading Low Carbon Knowledge, and then we can effectively guide urban residential energy consumption behavior in the low-carbon direction.
